Farewell, adieu, tchus, ciao, bubye!

Hi all,
This is the last blog from the summer. Since it’s been about a month that I’ve been back I’ll briefly run through the last three weeks of camp and the start of the semester. This is mainly for official record so I don’t forget anymore than I already have of what happened.
Well when I left off last I had just gotten back from the Neuschwanstein Castle. I don’t remember anything worth mentioning from that week in particular but I do remember that next weekend. That Saturday morning at 5:00 we left for Zurich from Evette and Jon’s place(2 of the center’s staff). We took two cars to fit the 8 of us total that went. We arrived in Zurich in the late morning, parked the cars, took a walk, had lunch, and got ready for the street parade. The parade was insane. Most of you have seen the picture taken from a helicopter that I posted on my facebook profile, but if not just imagine Thousands of people on one street in Zurich. There were floats slowly making their way through the masses with people on them dancing to music played by famous dj’s . In addition, there were stages set up along the sides of the street with dancers and dj’s going the entire day. We spent the majority of our day in the very front of the crowd at the mainstage. We were literally up against the fence front and center, it was absolutely incredible. It was also raining all day. During the day this was fun because we were dancing and having a good time, but around 7 we were getting cold so we made the trek back to the car and then headed up north back to Stuttgart. The next day we lounged around at Jon and Evette’s watching movies and stuff. All in all a very cool weekend.
Sometime within the next two weeks I was adopted once or twice again and had a couple camp dinners and Patch SAS dinners. All were very fun. The final weekend I stayed in Stuttgart the entire weekend for the first time since the very first weekend. Friday night all of the CYS and Camp A staff went to dinner at a mongolian grill then about half of us went to Blake’s apartment(CYS) to hang out, have a bonfire, and sleepover. Saturday was the big barbecue at Jon and Evette’s place. It was ALL day, starting in the afternoon till late at night, and again we slept over. I swear every hour Jon would have another type of meat on the grill. It was a great way to go out.

The very last week of camp involved spirit days like during homecoming week at wahlert, lots of cleaning, and lots of food :) . The last day was so sad though, I really miss those kids. I still get sad again every time I think about it.
Well, it was an unbelievable and AMAZING summer! Now I’m back in the swing of things at school. My Camp A homework is turned in, and I’m preparing for my study abroad in Spain in the spring!! I actually just purchased the tickets earlier this evening… Europe, here I come! Again!! And I can’t wait! And you all can expect another blog from me during my studies abroad.
Until next time!!
